For the past SIX decades, saturated fats and cholesterol have been described as causing heart disease, stroke and peripheral vascular disease. MILLIONS have been prematurely killed by this mistake. In fact, saturated fat is GOOD for you (as long as it comes from the RIGHT sources)!
Partially Hydrogenated Oils
Partially hydrogenated oils can tolerate repeated heating without breaking down. Unfortunately, when consumed, the normal temperature of the human body is not warm enough to keep these oils in liquid form. As the hydrogenated oil solidifies inside your body, it collects in your arteries and causes damage to tissues and organs.
These oils are the PRIMARY source of trans fat…
So how are you supposed to know whether what you’re buying at the store is BAD for your HEALTH? Just read the ingredients. If there is vegetable shortening, hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated ANYTHING – Don’t buy it!
